Hilton announced the official launch of the “Conrad 1/3/5” global brand program by its luxury brand Conrad Hotels & Resorts. Inspired by the pioneering spirit of founder Barron Hilton, this innovative initiative offers curated one-, three-, or five-hour immersive experiences designed for modern travelers seeking deeper connections with their destinations.
The “Conrad 1/3/5” program caters to the shift in luxury travelers’ preferences—from material consumption to experiential pursuits—by reducing planning time while preserving the thrill of discovery. Each itinerary, meticulously designed and booked by Conrad’s concierge teams, ensures comfort, convenience, and high-quality travel memories. The program will roll out globally across Conrad properties, with local concierge desks facilitating bookings.
In China, Conrad hotels have crafted diverse experiences, from historical landmarks to contemporary art, urban strolls to nature adventures, each reflecting the unique essence of their locations.
02 Hyatt Accelerates Asia-Pacific Expansion with 90 New Hotels Planned in Five Years
Hyatt Hotels Corporation plans to add nearly 90 hotels in Asia-Pacific over the next five years, focusing on luxury and lifestyle brands. This includes the regional debut of Thompson Hotels, alongside expansions of Andaz, The Standard, and Park Hyatt in Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, and beyond.
Thompson Hotels will make its Asia-Pacific debut in Q4 2025 with Thompson Shanghai Expo. Originating in Manhattan, the brand emphasizes contemporary design, cultural events, and culinary experiences.
Park Hyatt will enter Malaysia for the first time with Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, set atop the Merdeka 118 skyscraper (one of Asia’s tallest) in August 2025, featuring the city’s first cocoa-themed bar. Meanwhile, Park Hyatt Tokyo will reopen in Q4 2025 after a major renovation, and Park Hyatt Phu Quoc is slated for Q1 2026.
Andaz continues its growth with Andaz Gold Coast, Andaz One Bangkok (near Lumpini Park), and Andaz Shanghai ITC (the brand’s second property in Shanghai).
Following Hyatt’s 2024 acquisition of The Standard, projects are advancing rapidly, including The Standard, Pattaya Na Jomtien (Q3 2025), featuring a 1960s-themed beach club, plus upcoming properties in Hua Hin and Phuket’s Bang Tao.
The luxury resort brand The Barai is set to debut in Q3 2026.
03 Home2 Suites by Hilton Celebrates 5th Anniversary in China with 100th Hotel Milestone
On July 9, Hilton’s mid-to-upscale extended-stay brand Home2 Suites by Hilton celebrated its fifth anniversary in China under the theme “100 Stays, Limitless Brilliance.” With over 100 open hotels and 300+ signed projects, the brand leads China’s extended-stay market.
The anniversary unveiled Room 2.0, a refreshed design based on the “compact suite apartment” concept, enhancing homely comfort and flexibility to meet evolving guest demands—shifting from basic lodging needs to personalized, immersive experiences.
04 Minor Hotels Introduces Four New Brands
On July 11, Minor Hotels announced a strategic portfolio expansion with four new brands, including its first soft brand: Wolseley, Minor Reserve, Colbert Collection, and iStay Hotels. This aligns with Minor’s goal to reach 850 hotels by 2027, targeting niche market opportunities and evolving traveler/owner needs.
05 Marriott Signs Seven Hotels in Indian Subcontinent
Marriott International partnered with Pune-based Ventive Hospitality for seven hotels (1,548 rooms) across five brands:
- The Ritz-Carlton Reserve (Sri Lanka)
- Marriott Hotels & Resorts (Varanasi, India)
- Courtyard by Marriott (Mundra, Gujarat)
- Moxy (Pune)
- A dual-branded JW Marriott + Moxy development in Mumbai.
All are expected to open by 2030, further strengthening Marriott’s footprint in the region.
06 LVMH Sells Its Sole U.S. Hotel Asset for $82.2 Million
LVMH sold El Encanto (90-key, Santa Barbara, California) to Culver Capital (founded by Justin and Tyler Mateen) for $82.2 million. The new owners plan a $40 million renovation before joining The Leading Hotels of the World.
07 Hilton’s LivSmart Studios Debuts Globally
Hilton officially launched its new extended-stay brand LivSmart Studios, with the first property in Tullahoma, Tennessee (89 keys). A second location in Kokomo, Indiana, will open later this summer. Hilton anticipates 90+ LivSmart Studios openings, with 225+ deals in the pipeline.
08 Sheraton Signs Five Projects Across Four Chinese Cities

09 Marriott Hotels Arrives in Dongguan, Guangdong
On July 11, Marriott Hotel Dongguan opened as the brand’s first property in the Greater Bay Area city. The hotel features 262 rooms, suites, and 40 serviced apartments, with select units offering balconies overlooking Qifeng Mountain.
10 Marriott Hotels Debuts in Changsha
Marriott Hotel Changsha Yuelu opened in the city’s core Yuelu District, near West Lake Park. The 283-key property includes:
- Goji Kitchen + Bar (global and Hunan cuisine)
- Man Ho Chinese Restaurant (Cantonese-Hunan fusion)
- The Lounge (21st-floor sky bar)
- 2,100 sqm of meeting space and a 24-hour fitness center.
11 Shilla Monogram Xi’an to Open in November
On July 9, Shilla Monogram Xi’an—a collaboration between Xi’an High-Tech Asset Management and Korea’s The Shilla Hotels—hosted a media preview. The 264-key luxury hotel, located in the Silk Road Science City, blends Silla Dynasty motifs with Xi’an cultural elements (e.g., Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, locust trees). It will officially open in November.
